“Caffeine Dependency”: Mesquite cup on a ring of coffee grounds, 3.7"

This is one of three pieces created specifically for an exhibition with a coffee theme, called “Not Fit for Human Consumption,” held at Womankraft in February and March 2004. This footless cup cannot support itself but instead rests (at any angle) on a ring made of used coffee grounds, bonded with epoxy.
